The scripture in Isaiah 10:27 says And in that day his burden will depart from your shoulder, and his yoke will be destroyed from your neck. Note that the yoke shall be destroyed because of the annointing.
For every measure of annointing coming upon one’s head, there is a capacity for it. If there is nothing on your head, you cannot move ahead.

Before I proceed, I sincerely appreciate the privilege given to me to teach tonight and I also appreciate my spiritual father, Apostle Ogolo Sijibomi for His prayers.
I believe we all know what secular music and gospel music is. Most of us, especially religious people always classify secular music as a very bad music. We classify it as a kind of music that teaches bad morals and this is not completely true. A secular music is simply a music that is not religious. Not all secular music are worldly music. The term ‘worldly’ is a word coined out from the scriptures and it was used to mean carnality. So not all secular music is carnal. Some secular music are extremely good. They’re good enough for even christians to listen to them. Many religious christians always think you’re spiritual if you don’t listen to any kind of secular music.
As a Christian, there are some secular music you can listen to. It’s not bad. Because Christ wasn’t mentioned in it doesn’t mean you can’t listen to it. Christian musicians are so religious that they use their religiousness to make themselves lack knowledge. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying you should start listening to all secular music. Haven’t you seen that many secular music have more musical value than our Christian songs? Instead of you to listen to it and learn from it, know what the composer of the secular song knew and learn everything that made his song the way it is, you’re there criticizing secular music. Majority of the skill and value you want to add to yourself musically can only be gotten from secular musicians, whether you’re a singer or an instrumentalist. So don’t restrict yourself from learning and please, don’t get me wrong – don’t listen to a secular song that will make you sexually aroused or a song with sexually enticing lyrics. There are other good and valuable secular music you can learn from.
Gospel musicians are always very lazy. We use spirituality to cover up for our inconsistency in rehearsing. We use spirituality to cover up for lack of excellence and skill. It is wrong! Secular guys take their time to invest in themselves musically, whether it is singing or playing of musical instruments, they ensure they invest properly in themselves so they’ll be the best at it but gospel musicians use their lazy behaviour to conclude that the only thing that matters is just to have a right heart and they say, you don’t need to really rehearse. Don’t be deceived. Your excellence and skill has a major role it will play in your career and destiny. How many christian instrumentalist do you see on youtube teaching about music or musical chords or how to sing properly? How many of them do you see teaching riffs and runs? The reason is because secular musicians invest in themselves musically much more than gospel musicians and that’s why they have so much influence on us and in our music.
I’ve come to challenge you. Take this music more serious and strive to be the best at what you do. Being a Christian is an advantage but if you don’t work hard and seek knowledge, you’ll forever be a novice. Let rehearsal be a daily routine in your life. Seek to know more, learn more, be more passionate. Dream big.

I started a series last week; titked God’s End-time agenda for musicians. I’ll finish the series tonight with God’s Ultimate Agenda for Musicians.
The word of God reveals to us that God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Human beings are generally selfish. All we care about is ourselves, we naturally care less about the success and well being of others. But God who created all creatures, in His infinite mercy had pity on man and gave his son to die for the sins of man so mankind can be restored. Humans generally care less about themselves. The little care we show is always towards our family members or fiancee and this is wrong. I’ve seen situations where people pull down their friends so that they won’t be successful. The heart of man is said to be desperately wicked. We want to be the only one who is recognized, we want to be the only one who is wealthy and all these attributes can’t be found in God. After man fell in the garden of Eden. Everything God had been doing is for one purpose; which is to bring man closer to Him. He took his time to give Noah instructions so that mankind will be free from sin and evil. He exercised patience for Noah to build the ark, just because of His mercy and grace. Evil was rampant on earth, He had to present to mankind a choice to be saved because He cared. And majority chose the cares of this world and neglected God. Even after the flood, man still went back to sin. We disobeyed him and cursed him, we departed from His ways. Yet, He never gave up on us. He had covenant with Abraham for the sake of humanity. His love for man is so great. In His infinite mercy, He dwelt in earthly tarbarnacle with the Israelites because of His love. He hates evil, he hates it when He sees His creations suffering. He detests evil, he hates it when He sees His children suffering but the best way He could help them was to give them the law and the prophets until the time of Jesus. God so loved the world that He thinks about you and I everyday. The whole Bible from genesis to revelation if summarized, is all about creation, the fall of man and God’s plan of redemption, that is, redeeming man and His desires and will for man to dominate. Of course, you’ll learn His ways and see mysteries of God’s Kingdom but it is a compendium of historical facts about how God brought man closer to Him after the fall. This is the reason why He doesn’t joke with man. For this reason, He sent His only son to die for man. For this reason, He raised Prophets, Apostles, Evangelists, Teachers and Pastors to stand in the gap and deliver His counsel to His people.
Acts 8:26
Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Rise and go toward the south[a] to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is a desert place. 27 And he rose and went. And there was an Ethiopian, a eunuch, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasure. He had come to Jerusalem to worship 28 and was returning, seated in his chariot, and he was reading the prophet Isaiah. 29 And the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and join this chariot.” 30 So Philip ran to him and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet and asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?” 31 And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.
We all know this story. God cared so much about this Ethiopian eunuch that He had to speak to Philip. God took His time to describe the man’s location. Thank God Philip obeyed God. The Ethiopian eunuch was reading a verse that talks about how Jesus was crucified but he didn’t understand and God was interested in the salvation of this man. God wanted to deliver him from the yoke of sin, death and hell. The man didn’t even know how much God cared and God sent His minister to Him, to preach the gospel to Him, to explain the meaning of the scriptures and He got born again and was baptized. This is what God is calling many musicians to do.
Your musical skill and knowledge is a tool that God wants to use to bring people to Him. Your musical gifts are tools. You are not just a musician. You’re a minister. Think like one, act like one. Music started from heaven so it is spiritual. Secular musicians are influencing the minds of our youths and teenagers because they know and they are aware that they are ministers too. It’s just that some of them are ministers of d devil. A minister is someone who serves, you administer what you have. If you don’t wake up to your call, your children and generations to come will have no consciousness of God. You can win millions of souls with music. God cared so much about people. He cares, that is why he gave you that skill. He cares that is why He gave you that voice, so your skill and anointing can be used to influence people in the way of the Lord. Do you even know that your song can make a whole nation accept Christ. Haven’t you seen how songs were used in the Bible. Through the ministry of songs, soldiers won a battle and they didn’t have to fight at all. Your songs can do a lot. My spiritual Father taught recently on “The Pathway to Genuine Power” and he said that you must know that if power must come through God then it must be to satisfy His desires. And his desire is for the people to be blessed. You must begin to put the people in view. See whatever you’re doing in music as a medium through which souls can be blessed. Mad men are walking up and down on our roads. I read about Evangelist Bola Are, a Nigerian singer, whenever she worships, mad people gets healed. Whenever my spiritual Father worships God, you’ll know that God is real because of the things that will happen. Demons will flee, healings will happen, deliverance will happen. See devil cannot withstand the presence of God that comes when you truly worship. When Jesus was leaving, he told Peter, ” feed my sheep.” How have you been feeding his sheep? Most of us (musicians), we love excitement and we place more value on self exaltation than God and His people. When next are we going to have men like Pastor Paul Eneche, Michael Smith, Don Moen, Pastor Chris Delvan, Chingtok Ishaku, Mrs Bola Are, Charles Weasley? You must be skillful, rich, anointed and influencial in this generation. If you don’t have this four things as a musician, you’ll have little or no impact at all. God is looking for musicians who will care for His people. Musicians who won’t sleep until they receive a song that can heal a nation. God is looking for musicians who will represent him and speak his counsel, He needs musicians who will represent Him in the medical world, musicians who will use the power of God for music therapy, musicians who will wipe release a song that will wipe out disease from a nation. You must make yourself available tonight.
Ask Him to give you burden for souls. Ask Him to use you mightily. Let Him know you’re ready to be used. Ask Him to make you His weapon. Ask Him to use you. Let Him know you’re ready to pay the price.
Before I proceed, I want to appreciate God for his mercies and kindness to us. I thank Him for His love and for the privilege to be under my father, Apostle Ogolo Sijibomi. My prayer is that God will bless us abundantly tonight in Jesus’ name.
There are certain characteristics that musicians must possess in this End-time. If you don’t have those characteristics then you can’t fit into God’s agenda. In the previous teaching, we talked about the agenda of God for this generation and generations to come. How that God wants to raise extremely influential musicians who can make nations stand still before God and bow to Him. To attain this level of influence, some characters must be present in the life of the carriers of this grace.
The characteristics are:
1. A state of death: That is, you must be dead to the praise of men. You must be dead to commendations.
John 12:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.
You cannot be productive in this generation if you are still full of yourself. If you’re still conscious of yourself, you cannot be productive. Everything you’ll be doing will be out of God’s will. Your life is supposed to be like what was described in the verse above. You must first die to yourself and many other things before you can be used by God. My spiritual Father would always say, “God doesn’t use people, he uses things.” This is because a non-living thing cannot question God’s instructions. A dead man cannot disagree with whoever will bury him. I’ve discovered that many musicians have affinity for the praise of men. The same thing you see worldly musicians do is what many gospel musician try to do. The difference is just that gospel musicians indirectly do their own. If you listen to the songs of many secular artists, you’ll notice that ninety percent of their song has lyrics that portrays self exaltation and self appraisal. Your motive matters a lot. Many gospel artists have wrong motives. Deep down within you is a quest for the praises of men. You want to be appreciated, you want to be seen as good and excellent, you want to be hailed. All these are wrong. You can’t go far with that attitude. It is a fruit of pride and it leads to destruction.
According to John 12:24
You must die first. Then a new life will spring forth from you. It is only when you have died to all these things and the praises of men no longer means anything to you that you can fit into God’s agenda. At that point, you’ll no longer care whether or not people commend you.
2. Hunger
Matthew 5:6
Blessed are those who hungry and thirst for they shall be filled.
Hunger can also be called zeal. It is a driving force that propels you to do extraordinary things. A musician that wants to have impact in this generation must be hungry for God. You must be hungry for righteousness…It is your hunger rhat will drive you to pay the price for uncommon dimensions of the anointing. It is your hunger that will make you pay the price of fufilling the criteria to represent God in your generation. Your hunger will push you to know God. It is what will make you stay in the presence of God till He reveals strange dimensions of Himself to you. There is something about God’s agenda. It is all for the good of man. Therefore it is your hunger for God that will make you love humanity in an uncommon way. To fit into God’s agenda for this generation, you must be extremely hungry for God. My spiritual Father, Apostle Ogolo Sijibomi plays keyboard and guitar. He was so hungry to the extent that, while he was in school, he always locked himself in the wardrobe to pray to avoid disturbance. He would leave where everyone is and go to a quiet place to fellowship with God. There was a day he was worshipping God with His pianist, an angel literarily appeared behind his pianist in the video. I saw this video with my own eyes. There were days when the Holy spirit will manifest as a wind whenever he is worshipping God and you will just feel the wind blowing immediately he starts worshipping. His hunger is so intense that miracles happen whenever he is worshipping God, sicknesses are healed and the power of God breaks out. Let your hunger drive you. You cannot be sleeping for ten hours again if you want to be used by God in this generation. You can not be eating like a glutton again. Fast and pray… The days of mighty musicians are here again. Whenever my spiritual Father plays the keyboard, you will know that the sounds proceeding from what he is playing is not normal. He carries an atmosphere of God’s presence and when you come around Him, you’ll be infected by it. You cannot be used by God in this generation if you’re not hungry. Raise your voice to God tonight and ask Him to release upon you passion and zeal for his work.
Before I proceed, I want to appreciate my spiritual Father, Apostle Ogolo Sijibomi for his prayers over my life and I also appreciate every admin and every member of this group for your presence online tonight.
I’ll be teaching on the spirit of competition tonight. We have different categories of people here. Some of you are singers, some of you are bassists, some of you are pianists, some of you are studio engineers etc. Lots of things happen in the music industry. Everyone wants to be relevant. Everyone wants to be a force that will be reckoned with. Everyone wants their voice to be heard. Generally, humans love to be celebrated. Even people who are not professional at what they do loves to be commended. In a bid to be commended and applauded, many gospel musicians do so many wrong things.
2 corth 10:12 For we do not make ourselves of the number or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves but they measuring themselves among themselves and comparing themselves are not wise.
What competition does is that it hinders you from growing. It hinders you from progressing. You’re considered as a fool for comparing yourselves. People who compete lose focus. You’ll leave what you’re supposed to be doing and you’ll start running another man’s race. You will hardly find a musician who doesn’t compete. This spirit of competition has gained so much ground in the hearts of men to the extent that whenever you meet a new musician. The first thing he’ll say to you after he sees you sing or play is “you’re my boss o.” What was in his mind before you started playing is a quest to know if you’re better than him and many of us are like that. If you fall into this category, the word of God says in “2 corithians 10:12” that you are not wise. While some of you are playing your musical instrument in church, you’re just thinking about how your M.D and your Pastor will hail you after the service because of your dexterity, so you intentionally show your skill during every service. Commendations will destroy you if you’re not careful. Apostle Johnson Suleiman said there are two things that can destroy you easily; commendations and criticisms. Because commendations will make you full of yourself and make you proud if you aren’t careful. Criticism will make you always want to prove a point and your motive will become corrupted. Competition is in the heart of many musicians. Some of you have lost discipline. You were invited as a pianist to a program, when you wanted to do the sound check, you mounted the piano and the first thing you did was to start running all the scales you know. You started playing all the licks you know so that everyone will know your good. You want the church pianist to know that you have something and that’s bad. God cannot lift you with that attitude. Absalom was competing for the position of his father and he lost his life because of it. Lucifer lost his position in heaven because of competition. The truth is, your success lies in your purpose. Once you have discovered what you’re called to do on earth, do it with all your heart. Even if your friends are experiencing more success than you, keep doing what you’re doing. Rehearse more, do more research and be focused. Don’t put pressure on yourself because of your friend’s skill or success, don’t try to prove a point to anyone. Good musicians are not always under pressure to show their skill. Don’t do anything for the purpose of self exaltation. Musicians have become the most unserious set of people in church and the reason is because everyone wants to be good. You want to be called “boss.” So they focus on professionalism and leave God out of it. If you are a musician and you want God to use you, you must die to the praise of men. You’re not of the world. Don’t behave like the people of the world. Competition will always have a very negative effect on your destiny.
Jesus we thank you for the gift of life. We thank you for your love and your mercies. May your name be exalted among men, we ask that you bless and speak to us tonight IJN. Amen.
Briefly, I’ll be teaching about God’s End-time agenda for musicians. But before I proceed, I’ll love to appreciate my spiritual Father, Apostle Ogolo Sijibomi for his prayers and fatherhood. May God continue to keep him for us IJN. For every generation, God always have plans. God’s plans for our grandparents’ generation is different from ours. God had a plan for the generation of Noah, He also has a plan for the End-time and here we are, at the End-time. I’ll just do a brief introduction tonight and continue later. Many gospel musicians are ignorant of what God is doing in their generation. I encourage people to be skillful and I also encourage them to be spiritual but if you are skilful and spiritual and you don’t know what God is doing in your generation, you will live a life without impact.
Isaiah chapter 2
This is what Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem:
In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it.
Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
Can you see? In the last days… Mountain in that verse represents certain people who will rise to positions of influence and many will come to them to be influenced, to learn…and these people will teach men the ways of the Lord. They will have a great impact on the people. People won’t be able to do without them. This is what God wants to do in these last days. God will be raising musicians according to the order of David. Musicians who understand the ways of the spirit. Musicians who will have so much influence over the people to the extent that nations will seek for them. The gospel music industry has been corrupted and God is pruning and raising people. People who will not compromise because of money. People who will not compromise because of titles and positions. Musicians who will stand their ground and eradicate worldliness and immorality even in secular music industry. Gone are the days when the sound of stringed instruments heals mad men, gone are the days when sicknesses disappear when a singer is singing, gone are the days when God moves during music ministrations and perform all kinds of miracles. But I tell you tonight that those days are here again. The problem with every generation is that the devil always find a way to corrupt some of the carriers of these possibilities. That is why you have to be watchful and prayerful. God won’t just pick anybody and place them in positions of influence. You must meet with his requirements because you’re going there to represent him. You must make yourself available and allow him to furnish you. Allow him to work on you and make you His weapon. So tonight, I want you to ask God to help you. Let Him know that He is all you have, ask Him to use you. In Jesus’ name we have prayed. Amen.

Shall we pray. Father, we thank you for your love, we ask that you bless us tonight In Jesus name. In Jesus name we pray. I’ll be teaching on the benefits of singing skillful tonight. I discovered that lots of people emphasize on spirituality so much that they forget the need to be skillful while some emphasize on skill so much that they forget spirituality. There are Christians who believe that you don’t really need to be skillful as musicians, they believe that you just need to know the Holy Spirit and be on fire for God. And this is not true. Your skill is very important and it has vital roles it will play in your life and in the fufilment of your purpose. You don’t become skillful because you’re talented. Skill is acquired through consistent rehearsal. Skill is acquired through research and rehearsal. Your skill does not grow as you age. You don’t become skillful automatically. Expertise comes through hard work. Your spirituality has a role it plays in your purpose and your music and your skill also has a role it plays.
Benefits of Being Skillful
Your sphere of influence will be increased 1 Sam 16: 14 The Spirit of the Lord had left Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord was terrifying him. 15 “It’s an evil spirit from God that’s frightening you,” Saul’s officials told him. 16 “Your Majesty, let us go and look for someone who is good at playing the harp. He can play for you whenever the evil spirit from God bothers you, and you’ll feel better.” 17 “All right,” Saul answered. “Find me someone who is good at playing the harp and bring him here.” David wasn’t known at the palace but because he was a GOOD harpist, he was invited to come and play at the palace. Some other version will say, “skillful”. Please read verse 17. He was invited to the palace because he was a skilful harpist. Your skill has a way of increasing your sphere. It has a way of making you have influence over people. David had no business in the palace. If he wasn’t a good musician, he won’t have been invited to the palace. The reason why some of you are still at the same position is because you’re not improving. You are not growing your skill. The word of God says, a man’s gift makes room for him and bring him before great men. This verse is practically talking about a gift that has been worked on. A gift that has been polished. Because a novice cannot be invited to play before great men. A novice can’t play before Kings. That’s why God has not opened the door of greatness to many people. You will disgrace yourself in public if He does. With the way you sing or play your musical instrument now, if God announces you, do you think people will love to listen to you? Take time to work on yourself and be a master at what you do. Your skill has the capacity to bring you before great men. It has the capacity to make the poor, less privileged, rich, great and small believe in you.
You will have more impact on more lives: David did not only have mighty men on the army, he had mighty men as Levites. He was a warrior, if he had not developed his skill as a musician, if won’t be able to have positive impact on the Levites. Your skill can compel people to come learn what you’re doing. People who have no interest in music can become musicians if you’re skillful. People who redefined music were very skillfull that was why the world reckoned with everything they did. You can correct the errors in the gospel music industry if you’re skillful. Your skill is a kind of result. Of course, you must be anointed. But you must also be skillful. Your skill is a kind of result that testifies that you have the right to be listened to. People celebrate skill a lot, so they will like to whoever has it. Many people don’t know how to be an expert in music, they don’t know how to become a professional. So they are ready to listen to whoever has that result. The reason why the gospel music industry doesn’t know the difference between worship and entertainment is because some sets of influential musicians came and they had a very strong impact on the people and the industry and they polluted everything we know to be called sacred music. So please if you really want to be impactful in this generation, don’t just be spiritual, also be skillful. Take your time to know music very well. If you’re a singer, endeavour to be very good at it. If you an instrumentalist, endeavour to be very good. It will help you and it will help the people. May the Lord give us understanding in Jesus name.
