Mind simply make you think the way you view things, sense of reasoning, consciousness, intellect and the likes. Every existing human have a mind but how we were raised sometimes determines the kind of mindset we’ve been programmed to develop. Your interpretation of issues is the reflection of the state of your mind. Your mind can imprison you and your mind can elevate your standard. Your spirituality will make you fast & pray but your mind will make you engage in action/work before seeing results. Your mind is your might. You need mental alignment. Today, I want to talk about small mind, the causes, the implications and possible solutions.
The result of small mind is birthed through the little mindset of people that pet and monitored you while growing up, the environment you were raised and of course your kind of friends. This is atleast 80% of the causes of small mind.
As a child, you were taught how to retaliate if your mate beat you instead of reporting but ignorantly they are programming your mind to always punish your offenders either they offend you intentionally or not. It is not their fault, it is because of the way they were brought up too. No wonder people find it hard to forgive & forget, love & trust their neighbour.
The environment you were born is not a mistake, it’s for a purpose. Whether you like it or not you will be influenced by the level of your environment’s standard either positively or negatively. Your kind of temperament is not natural, it is because of the way you were influenced. That you like football, parties, indoor games, chatting, watching movies, gisting, etc today is not by mistake. Your liking beans and plantain is not natural. You can’t just wake up one day and say you love singing or dancing. It is not scriptural, you’ve been influenced one way or the other. The way you speak, the slangs you use, the way you dress, your attitude to issues, your believe system, your perspectives & ideologies, the language you speak, the kind of church/mosque you worship, the way you view things, the way we do burial, birthday, naming ceremony, wedding fixed only on Saturdays (Owambe) and so on are as a result of influence.
